Born in Zagreb in 1985, in 2003 he graduated from the science and mathematics high school in Zagreb (15th Gymnasium) and enrolled in the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Zagreb, graduating in 2009. He completed his internship at the Health Center Zagreb Istok and passed the state exam for a doctor of dental medicine in October 2010. From 2010 to 2012, he worked in a private dental office in Zagreb. From 2012 to 2017, he worked in a private polyclinic in Zagreb. In 2017, he founded the Dental Center 4Smile. In 2011, he entered the postgraduate spec. study of dental medicine. During his studies, he was awarded a state scholarship due to his high place in the class procedure. During his studies, he also engaged in scientific work and was a demonstrator at 2 departments. From 2010 to the present, he has participated in numerous scientific congresses and work courses for the permanent improvement of doctors of dental medicine. He actively speaks English and Italian.

I struggled for many years with major dental issues (numerous root canals, bridges and crowns), most of which failed over time, leaving me with few options. Dentists here in Nashville offered a solution of either Dentures or All On 4 Implants. The All On 4 procedure was out of my price range at $55,000 for Nobel Bio-Care implants and Zirconia Teeth. I was quoted $10,000 for dentures with two implants upper and lower to secure the dentures with a snap on method. I did find All On 4 procedures for a little less money in other states using lessor know implant brands, and Acrylic teeth, but I felt using the best components would be the right way to go long term. I had started researching Dental Tourism just a few months before Covid started in early 2020. After researching several countries, I found that Croatia had great reviews from patients traveling there from all over Europe as well as Asia, US and Australia. After vetting several Clinics, I came down to 2 clinics in Zagreb, and Dental Centar 4 Smile being one of them. I decided to go with Dr. Ivan after many e-mails and questions that I posed. I found that with his extensive implant history and experience before opening his practice that he would be the best option for me. Based on the my particular situation and bone structure, I decided to go with the All On 6 procedure using the Straumann BLX implants and Zirconia arches for my final teeth. My initial visit was to have my teeth extracted and implants installed, I also received temporary Acrylic Teeth. I returned 6 mos. later for my permanent Zirconia teeth. Overall my experience was GREAT... Dr. Ivan and his team were top notch. His office is state of the art, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Travel to Croatia was fairly inexpensive when compared to other destinations in Europe. Most people speak English and getting around was no problem at all with excellent public transportation. My Airbnb was a 5 minute walk from the office, which the office helped arrange. I'd recommend contacting Dental Centar 4 Smile if you're in a position like I was where you wanted top quality dental care, but Insurance and out of pocket costs are prohibitive.
