Laser treatment of periodontal diseases is a revolutionary method because laser energy is selective, it targets only the inflamed area, while healthy tissue remains intact. Compared to traditional methods and surgical devices, lasers are gentler, more predictable, and often provide painless therapy without local anesthesia. The advantage of lasers in the treatment of periodontal disease is that laser light treats only the inflamed part of the tissue. Special extensions enter the periodontal pocket and remove the diseased flesh and invisible calculus below the edge of the gingiva as well as the bacteria and their products that cause inflammation. Periodontal therapy laser is recommended for gingivitis, periodontitis, and the need for the aesthetic design of gums.
